I'm READY FOR THIS WEEK TO BE OVER!! It's been a stressful one as I've been prepping all week for court. It's a case for work, so I can't ellaborate, but I've put a lot of time, energy, & sleepless nights into this. I got really short notice about the case & then was on standby for today or tomorrow to testify. I had sitters arranged for both days & I've been on the phone with lawyers & our risk specialist at work TOO much!! Got the call from the attorney today & the trial started & the defense attorney is requesting more time to collect evidence, SO I will testify on JANUARY 12, 2009 at 9 am. OH was all I could get out......I need to push that to the back burner for awhile, it's CONSUMING me!!
Drew has had a rougher week as well, he got a virus that was going around at Cassie's. Low grade fever, irritability, & a rash on one cheek. Once the rash appears you are no longer contagious. He has been a bit more needy than usual & wants to be held, not too fussy, unsettled would be a better word. Today the rash appeared on his left cheek & he seems back to normal. He must have known I was at wits end on Monday because he slept 8pm-5am!!!!!!!! I was thrilled!! We are done feeding at night & picking him up out of his crib & that has helped TREMENDOUSLY!! We give him his pacifier, repositon the blanket & that's it!! We've made a lot of progress. He's still eating like a champ & enjoying cereal now in the am & pm. We've had carrots, squash & sweet potatoes & he LOVES all of them!! He has made the stress so much more bearable! I can't believe he is almost 5 months old!!
Monday: Friends over for a new recipe of Enchilada's I tried & it turned out well.
Tuesday: Mas-chaos in the ER, need I say more!
Wednesday: Took pre-test for my pediatric advanced cardiac life support class which is tonight. Went to Kohl's filled the cart & left empty handed! Drew has NOT having any of it (now I know he wasn't feeling well) Went to wal-mart to get some things we HAD to have. Carried Drew & pushing a cart is NOT something I enjoy, but we survived. Had a WONDERFUL dinner at my grandparents & a nice visit. Grandpa skipped chemo this week. He hasn't quite bounced back since the last treatment. They will do a cat scan next week & if the cancer hasn't spread chemo then. He just keeps fighting, but I think he's overdoing it. He is such a hardworker & he just keeps at it & he can't quite keep up. We're all praying for good news Tuesday!
Today we're staying home, then tonight I have my class from 5-10!! HOPEFULLY it doesn't last that long & I can go to Kohl's to attempt to use my 30% coupon.
