Tuesday: Michael & I worked & Drew got to spend the day with Nana Terri. He had another great day. After work I made a flying trip to Cedar Falls to get our new car (pics later) & to see Allie play ball. Maggie & the kids watched Drew while I dealt with the car business. Scott makes getting our cars SO easy!! And we love the new murano!!
Here's a picture Maggie took with her phone of Al & Drew.

Wednesday: We watched Al play ball. She is quite the hitter & I was impressed with her hustle too!! After the game we went to Williamsburg to shop. We had lunch at the McDonalds there. Drew had his 1st bite of a Big Mac & I'm happy to say "he's his mothers son" he loved it!! Drew was a tad on the fussy side, but I still managed to get some great deals for MYSELF!! That evening we had all of Michael's immediate family down for a cookout. We kept it simple & it was really nice. We all had a good time!! Maggie & the kids were here for a few days & it was good to get together.

I had gotten a call early in the morning at Maggie's. Jessica had been having contractions all night. She was in labor. I had gotten the call roughly around 3 that she had gotten her epidural. At 5:25 the phone rang & I just knew he was here. It was Jessica, after 2 pushes Ethan Roy Hentze entered the world at 5:15 PM weighing 7lbs 10oz & was 21 inches long. HE WAS PERFECT!! And so beautiful. Jessica sounded great!! I was so excited for them! I couldn't WAIT to meet him!
Thursday: Emma had her tonsils & adnoids removed. Maggie & the kids watched Drew again. She did GREAT!! It was sad to see her after surgery, but she was such a trooper!! That afternoon we went to White's pool (a guy who works with Michael). The kids really enjoyed it!! I then made a flying trip to Dubuque to see my new baby cousin. Maggie & the kids watched Drew AGAIN (are you seeing a pattern, she was my life saver!!). I got to snuggle with baby Ethan & he is the most precious thing. I LOVE his blond hair!! I brought home pizza & was pooped!! Maggie & I made a trip to Target ALONE & called it a day.

Friday: Oh Friday, WHAT A DAY!!!!!!!!!!! It started off with our appointment for the 5 Fischer grandkids to get their picture taken together. Our last trip EVER to the Davenport Portrait Innovations. For all of you that I've convinced to go there, I TAKE IT BACK!! In a nutshell they wouldn't honor their $9.95 package, many more details, but it makes my blood pressure rise, simply not worth getting work up over again. Ok I'll get off that soap box. Drew was not having anything to do with having his pictures taken again (perhaps because it was the 3rd time in 5 weeks or just that he's 1 & he calls the shots!!) Needless to say we left empty handed & have now made an appointment & will have the kids pictures taken in Nana's back yard. We then took the 5 kids to the zoo. Drew's favorite was the carousel. He threw is pacifier out on the train, but luckily I had a spare! We came back to my house & let the kids play. Not sure where my brain was, but I totally spaced off my Dr.'s appointment. So not like me, I'm blaming Portrait Innovations!! That evening Al went to Nana's, Michael, Rick, & Jake went to the River Bandits game, & Mags, Drew, & I had a nice dinner & did some shopping. We got home just in time before the storm hit. We lost power & I checked the sump pump & it was dry, about 15 minutes later I checked in again & it was about full. Thank God Maggie was here & knew what to do because I was numb!! We started bailing totes of water to the shower & continued that until 12:30 am! It could have been so much worse, & I'm so thankful it wasn't! I was THRILLED when the power came back on & we could all sleep!
Drew's fav the carousel, still threw a fit when we got off, but was easily distracted this time.

Five Fischer Grands

1st taste of corn on the cob, you guessed it, he loved it.

Saturday:We went to Grand Mound kid's day. They didn't have the carnival this year, but they did have some kids games set up. Drew bowled & got 1 pin down. I think Aunt Maggie got a picture. I forgot my camera. Drew also won a pass to the DeWitt Aquatic Center, a free ice cream cone from McDonald's, & $1. He stayed with Nana & Papa while Michael & I went on a double date with Tootie & Chad. We (the boys) golfed at Deere Run & then enjoyed a lovely dinner at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse. It was very nice.
The pros Michael & Chad

Sunday:We took the Hentze's lunch. It was Michael & Drew's 1st time meeting baby Ethan. Drew was jealous when I held him. Drew was interested & reached his arms to the baby. Drew was very gentle (for Drew) & held him. We had a nice visit & I was able to hog the baby & was tickled over it. On the way home we stopped to check on Miss Emma. She is doing well & is slowly perking back up. We came home for the rest of the day. We were pooped out!!
