Playing Catch Up!!!!!!!

I had a nice reminder yet AGAIN (from Alishia) that it had been awhile since I posted some info. SO here it is all the way back to last Friday!!

Last Friday: Celebrating Mom, Amanda, & Kim Moore's birthday

We went to the Country Club for the 3 birthday girls. My cousin Leslie was able to come out and join in the fun. It was a late night that ended with a frozen pizza and lots of laughter at my parents house!!

Saturday: My Mom's official 44th Birthday!!

Saturday morning began with my immediate family attempting to make my mother breakfast. The only thing I can say about that whole situation is my father was stirring hashbrowns for a GOOD 5 minutes without turning on the burner!! My mother of course couldn't resist stepping in at that point.

Then Leslie and I were off to the bridal store for her to get measured. I showed her my dress and the tears filled in both of our eyes!! We have been talking about the day we would get married since we were born and my day is here in 6 months! I can't wait!!

That night we headed back into DeWitt to order pizza at my sisters and to sing Happy Birthday Grandma 500 times (it's Emma's favorite song)!! We had another late night and went to my house to CRASH!!

Sunday(recover quickly because it's back to reality time)

Sunday came all too quickly and it was time to say goodbye to Leslie which is always a sad time. Michael and I each took a 3 hour nap (I think we are getting old). That night we met Michael's parents at Texas Road House (my fav)! It was delicious and the CAFFINATED coffee hit the spot. I was off to work for what I thought was a short 8 hour shift. WRONG, a nurse called in leaving us short and me feeling guilty, so somehow I managed to work until 7am. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be though.

Monday

I attempted to sleep during the day which didn't work out too well. I thing I averaged 3 hours that day. Michael and I went to dinner at Carlos O' Kelly's and it was off to work again. Nothing too exciting for us on Monday.

Tuesday

Work for both of us. BORING!!

Wednesday

Michael and I got to spend the ENTIRE day together on a Wednesday (that doesn't happen very often). It started off at Big Ed's for engagement pictures which Michael may not admit this, but he even had fun. Big Ed is a very fun guy which helped out Michael dreading these pictures. He also may have talked us into a honeymoon spot. Runaway Bay in Jamaica, nothing booked, but we both are STRONGLY considering it. We were then off to Chili's for lunch. Made a quick stop at Target which was very painful for Michael. I wanted to look at the Christmas decorations and after seriously about 2 minutes Michael says to me "Are you about ready Mrs. Claus?!?!" He thinks he's pretty funny. We came home for a short while and then we were off to Sears for more pictures which turned out well. It was short, simple, and sweet and not too painful for Michael. We were even able to walk through the mall with only minimal complaints (I told Michael how Scott had shopped for 4 hours without a complaint, so he had to prove he could too). Only he complained in store #1, after that I told him we would only go in the stores he wanted to. We went throught the ENTIRE mall only stopping at one store, Hat World. He's NOT my kind of shopper!

Thursday

And finally to today. I woke up to a phone call from my mother. She had a meeting that got over and wanted to know if I wanted to go shopping. That's a given, so I hopped in the shower and she picked me up about 10 minutes later. We have our family X-mas next weekend and of course she had barely started shopping for anyone, but Emma. We did some hard shopping and managed to get ALL of her shopping done!! It was a lot of fun, I liked the challenge, and we still managed to get some good deals (with my help of course). There is a new store Steve & Barry's right by my house and I LOVE it!!

I rode back with her to DeWitt so I could see Emma for awhile, and Michael picked me up from there. We came home and made Chili and actually sat at the table together and ate (that never happens). Michael got this wild hair that he was craving Deviled Eggs & Rice Krispies Treats (weird combo). He decided we HAD to make them, so I agreed to making the Rice Krispies Treats and he could make the Deviled Eggs. Yeah I'm pretty sure we are NEVER making food together again. I broke my spoon while I was attempting to stir the Rice Krispie mix (anyone have any tips on that). That's hard to do and of course Michael BURSTS out laughing. In the end they both turned out wonderful, but we had quite the mess to clean up. It was worth it though to see Michael's face when the spoon snapped right out of my hand!!

Tomorrow we don't have any plans except awaiting a phone call with the sex of the newest member of the family!! Can't WAIT!!

Saturday we are going to Cedar Rapids to Michael's Aunt Toni's for X-mas with Terri's family. They are always so much fun to be around, so I'm really looking forward to that.
