Wednesday night Michael went with Eric & Marcus to the Hawkeye game and of course had a ball.
Thursday Michael had his second interview with John Deere (our fingers are crossed!!) He looked so nice all dressed up, I couldn't resist taking his picture. He was not too happy with me chasing him around the house with the camera. I think his comment was " Oh what do you want to post this on your blog, you dork!!!" Well as a matter of fact I DID!!

Friday night we went to Buzzy's for Dennis Schnoor's retirement party. It was
SO good to see so many people we had not seen in so long. It was a great time and it was the first time in a long time I really felt young. It seems that some things never change when you get around people you grew up with. Michael and I had good intentions of making it an early night, and at 2am we didn't really know where the time went. I couldn't tell you the last time I CLOSED the bar. It was worth every minute though. We had a ball!!

Saturday morning we met with the priest marrying us, Father Steinle. Michael had been losing sleep all week about it. He constantly kept asking me "Do we tell him we live together?!?!?!?" And I would just reply, we CAN'T lie. The visit was very nice and Michael ended up really liking Father Steinle. Father Steinle is a good family friend on the Sparks side. He interviewed us both and asked us many questions. When he thanked us for being honest with him about living together, he then asked how long we had lived together. We told him and he said "WHY?!?!?" We explained to him that we both wanted to have careers established prior to getting married, and he said "good answer." We got done with the "business" part of the meeting and then chatted. It went very smoothly and Father did tell us that out of the 9 weddings he has this summer alone, we are the only 2 who are both Catholic.
After the meeting Michael and I met Maggie and the kids at Chili's for lunch. Michael took the kids to the sky bridge and Maggie and I were off to Bed Bath N Beyond to register. It was fun and it was nice to have her along to tell me the things that I may not use so much now, but that would be great to have in the future with kids. I wouldn't have even noticed some of the things, so I'm so glad she was with. It was actually a lot of fun, even when I SHATTERED a picture frame (on accident of course) on the ground. So typical of me! I was so embarassed! I think I got registered for most everything, except dishes. I'm having a hard time deciding, so that is still on the list of things to do.
Last night we headed to Dave and Gails for Christmas/get together. Michael said "We're either really late having X-mas for 2006 or REALLY early for 2007." It was nice to see everyone and be able to visit. I got my camera out with good intentions of taking lots of pictures, and ended up only taking one of Gail and Jim!! I was so mad at myself. I'll have to "borrow" some of Maggie's to post later on.

While we were at Fischer's Emma called and left me a message saying "Kim I miss you, come see me." I of course am a sucker and missed her too, so we went to say good night to her before going home. Here's a picture of her after she dumped my purse out with my sunglasses on. I took my purse away from her and she said "Kim, share!"

Today I ran to Younkers to look at dishes and had no luck. I need to just make a decision and get over it! I met Amy, Brandon, & Emma for a short while at the mall. I then headed over to Davenport West High School to watch my cousin Jenna play basketball. Alishia was home for the weekend too, so it good to see her too. We are going to my parents tonight for dinner and tying ribbon on bubbles for the wedding. FUN FUN!!
