Grandpa's Surgery

May 14 Grandpa had his surgery. What they thought was contained stomach cancer was not. They opened him up to find out that the aggressive cancer had spread to the outside of his colon. Surgery for removal was no longer an option. It was a VERY long, stressful, sad day. Since then grandpa has recovered like a trooper!! He has had good pain control, he got rid of all of his tubes, & was able to come home yesterday. He'll meet with the oncologist on June 3 to discuss treatment options. He's beat the odds before, so I'm staying positive.
