Weather

Last night we helped (or at least Michael did, I didn't do much) my sister clean up her big tree. They ended up having to cut down her HUGE maple tree in the back yard. It was AMAZING!! I wanted to take pictures, but was too occupied making sure my niece & her neighborhood friends stayed out of the way so they didn't get hurt. When it was all said & done there were probably 20 strangers there helping out. There really are good people in this world!!

We got home & Michael was quick to fall asleep & SLEEP through the tornado whistle. I, of course was frantic, I woke him up & told him we should head to the basement. OF course he had to check outside out first. We had a POND in our backyard, & the lighting was awful & then it was still, TOO STILL!! I got a call from my sister & she said there was a tornado spotted just south of us. We went to the basement & turned on the news & watched. Luckily there was no damage to us. Where we used to live by Duck Creek is flooded worse than I can ever remember. We are very thankful for our home & our friends & families safety. Our hearts go out to those who've lost loved ones, homes, belongings etc.

Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids is evacuating all of their patients, so we've been really busy at work trying to help out & take some of those patients. They are being transferred to Waterloo, IA City, & us. Some of the medics from Cedar Rapids that came here today looked absolutely EXHAUSTED!!

PS: I've dropped...........Mandy noticed, my mom noticed, & co-workers noticed, so I don't think it's in my head.

I've also noticed some Braxton Hick's contractions, nothing consistent or painful, but lots of tightening of the abdomen.
