Busy Fall Week

We have had a busy fall week enjoying lots of our favorite fall activities. Last weekend we enjoyed UNI's homecoming with Maggie & family. They lost, but it was still fun. It was Drew first football game & he did pretty good considering his age. I think tailgating was more up his alley. We were also able to catch one of Jake's flag football games & Michael was able to see him play soccer. He scored a hail mary touchdown during football & had 4 goals at soccer!! Way to go Jake!

Sunday was a beautiful day, so we hit the pumpkin patch. Drew enjoyed a pony ride, a ride on the John Deere lawn mower (he wanted to drive vs riding in the barrels), lots of food, a hayrack ride, petting the goats, & lots of running around. A great time was had by all.

Monday we had our annual trip to Maquoketa caves. I have been making this trip with my childhood friend Sarah since we were really young. Michael was able to join us this year & good thing too. There is no way I could have carried Mr. Drew through all of those caves. #1 I'm clumsy & #2 he is heavy. Michael got quite the work out. We also enjoyed lots of good food at our picnic.

Last night we had the reception for friends Eric & Stacy. Drew loved dancing & we enjoyed catching up with friends we don't get to see often. And best of all IA won with 2 seconds left in the game.

Other fun things we did this week included a playdate with Connor (the next door neighbor) & a trip to the Aurora outlet mall with my sister & NO KIDS! It was wonderful!
This week brings lunches with friends, a playdate, music class for Drew, Halloween party, Trick or Treating & Mama Mia for me. Oh and I suppose a few hours spared for me to work in the flu clinic, I mean ER. I won't even get started on that subject. Have a great week!
