Monday: My mom stopped by to play with Drew, but other than that we hung out at home for the day. It felt good to be able to stay home after working the weekend.
Tuesday: Drew's 2nd day at Cassie's & he did GREAT!! He loves the other kids. When I came to pick him up Baxter (Cassie's little boy who is almost 2) says "no touch baby Drew." That is the rule for the other kids, they can look at baby Drew, but can not touch him. Cassie had to explain to him that I am Drew's mommy & I can touch him. It was too cute!
Wednesday: My baby is 3 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!! Where has the time gone!??!?!!? We made a trip to get groceries & went for a walk down to neighbor Tammie's. Jayden, Ryan (both 4 year olds), & Anna (5 months) were there. Drew loved being around the other kids & the kids loved having Drew there.
Thursday: Drew has a blankie that was a gift that he's hooked to. We went to Baby Beginnings & got a back up one, then went to Toys R Us to get some X-mas ideas. We went for a long walk that night.
Friday: We had a playdate with Tricia & Grady. Drew is not looking so tiny next to Grady anymore! That night we had game night with some of the neighbors. We're going to have it 1 a month. Since it was so nice we had it outside. Bags was the game of the night. I got to meet the parents of the twins. Macy & Carter were born June 11, six days before Drew. It will be so nice to have them close, so the kids can play. It was a lot of fun & we are really happy we moved here. We love the neighborhood, neighbors, & ALL the KIDS EVERYWHERE!!
Saturday: Drew & I stayed home ALL day and lounged around. We swang outside, played inside, & napped. It was great. Michael golfed in a tournament with some co-workers. That night after I put Drew to bed I stopped out at an Octoberfest party in Long Grove. It was at my parents friends house the Bley's. It was nice to be out & socialize, but I missed my baby like crazy & was more than ready to come home after a couple hours.
Sunday: Today we woke up, Michael wanted to invite some of the Steeler fans over to watch the game. We went to get some food to make appetizers, got new phones, came home & had a party!! Julie, Craig, Jenna, Steven, Chad, Tootie, Dixie, Amy, & Emma all came over. The Steelers lost, but we still managed to have a good time.
