Behind Again!

I'm behind again, geez if I keep this up I may never post when our baby arrives!! In the past couple weeks we've done the things we normally due + some spring cleaning + some much needed outside time. Our weather this week has been gorgeous!! I'm attempting to get my spring cleaning done, I've got a lot done & it feels good! We are headed to a condo on Cocoa Beach next week & can't wait.

We went to a bar/restuarant for my birthday called the Rodeo, they had a mechanical bull. Here is Michael in action! HILARIOUS!! We stayed overnight at the Wild Rose Casino & Drew enjoyed his 1st sleepover at my moms with Emma. He did great, probably better than me.

Spring

So I apologize it's been so long since I've updated! With this little bit of energy I've been running with it! What have we been doing:

*Our biggest news of all, my 1st baby has said adios to the crib, & hola to the "BIG BOY BED." I was very nervous for this transition & he has done great!! As a matter of fact, we are napping & sleeping better at night. We are so lucky:)

*Drew has started his 2nd session of Music for Toddlers. He is really into it & was excited to see his buddy Anthony there too!

*We have been going to Story Hour at the library & Drew has been doing great.

*I'm almost 29 weeks & am FINALLY feeling better & am so thankful for that! Time is ticking.

*Michael has started playing in a basketball league with some guys from work. He was DEVASTATED that he wasn't as quick as he was 2 years ago! Since then, the die hard has dove into going to the gym. He refuses to get older! HA!

Nothing else too new around here, I've begun to nest & it feels so good!! Happy Spring all!!

Everyday life

We've had a pretty laid back few weeks.

We've been able to get to some of my cousins basketball games. Boy does that make me feel old, but it's so fun to watch them play.

We've had playdates with neighbors & family. That sure is saving my (& Drew's) sanity lately. This winter is getting long, we are ready for spring!

My good friend had her 1st baby & it was so exciting to be able to go see her. Sure makes me extra excited for my little girl. I've been feeling MUCH better in the past couple weeks. It'd be a lie to say I feel good, but hey I'll take this!

The upcoming week is busy: work, get together for my neighbor's twins, dentist, taxes, OB appointment (glucose test), swap party, Amy's 30th party!

You will notice a pattern below. EVERY time I get my camera out, Drew takes off in a mad dash to the chair. You'll see he is in that chair in most pictures.

Basketball Man

Drew has really grown to love his basketball hoop. He loves to do foot fire, hit it, & take charges. This makes his father beam! Michael has raised the hoop because Drew was "doing too good." Drew loves to put the ball in the hoop & then expects cheering & high fives. He will look at you until you cheer!!

He is at such a fun age & seems to learn so much everyday. Other favorites right now are his kitchen. He plays & plays & everything is "hot, hot, hot."

So I've been really bad at the baby bump pics. Here is what I have:

Weekend

We had a good weekend. Friday we had our neighbors over for pizza & catching up! With winter & everyone being inside we just don't see each other as much. We are more than ready for Spring!!

Saturday we had a Fischer gathering. It had been awhile since everyone was together & it w as a nice get together. Drew really wants to run with the big kids, but is still pretty clueless about what he can & can't have (as expected). He LOVES to climb & lately keeps getting braver & braver. Maggie & family stayed overnight here. It was great to catch up with them, & Drew can't get enough of his cousins!! He had a ball.

Sunday I was able to enjoy lunch & shopping with my sister & niece while the boys napped. It was great. Sunday night Drew spiked a fever & again had the respiratory crud. With a few rough nights & some extra TLC he is on the mend!

IT's A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited to announce we have our 1st daughter on the way!! I've known since before Thanksgiving, but wanted to be a little more sure before I posted. We had our "official" ultrasound last week & low & behold it IS a girl! We are overjoyed!! I've always wanted a daughter & am so blessed I have one on the way. The girl shopping has begun. I can't help myself. She will be so lucky to have a big brother too.

I'm 21 weeks today, over half way, THANK GOD! This pregnancy has been rough to say the least. I keep wanting to post when I can be really positive & not tearful. Not sure that day will come, so here it is! I'm exhausted, nauseated, dizzy, I still vomit, I get heart burn terrible, I'm an emotional basket case & I just don't feel good. But for my child I would do anything. I do believe it's gotten a tad better, & for that I'm very thankful. I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, but a pregnancy update was asked for, so there you have it. On a positive note I feel her constantly & it makes me beam. It's the best reminder that I will get the best reward at the end of this. Drew has started talking to my belly as if "he knows" & it makes me feel like the luckiest person alive. Michael is very supportive & helpful & I'm so lucky for that as well. I have a great husband, the best son, & a healthy baby girl on the way. I could not ask for more. Life is good:0)

2010 so far

Yes I'm still alive. I realize I've been lacking on my "blogging." On the priority list, it's been towards the bottom, obviously!

Messy Boy!!

We were able to attend Jake's friend birthday party. It was at an indoor pool. What a hit! Drew (and all the kids) loved it!! Drew is a true fish in the water & couldn't get enough of it. Jake must talk about Drew & his obsession with saying "hot, hot, hot" because all of Jake's friends were asking Drew to say it. We had a low key pizza party & visiting that evening.

Other happenings:

Drew dumped a whole box of Lucky Charms on the floor. I was making the bed & I heard him telling himself "nun-no, nun-no" & I knew something had happened. This is what I discovered.

Drew has begun to express some interest in the toilet & constantly says "I pooped." We tried out the potty & after 20 minutes he still did not want to get down.

Drew & I have been enjoying playdates with the next door neighbors. They were blessed with twins on X-mas eve. I just can't get enough of those babies. Drew adores them!! I'm so thankful for our playdates as they break up the days. We're starting to get cabin fever!!

Over this past weekend we celebrated Michael's 28th birthday!! We were able to go to dinner at his favorit restuarant Osaka. Drew stayed with Nana & Papa. On his actual birthday we enjoyed a football party at my parents. Nothing else too new, I will update on the pregnancy. I've been waiting for a day when I felt really good to blog about it. I've come to the realization that that day may not come, so I need to update!

Happy New Year!

We had a low key New Year's. We went to my friend Sarah's for dinner. It's her birthday & a nice tradition. We had a nice time & were home well before midnight.

I did awake at 12:15 to Drew crying & a horrible case of heartburn (compliments of being pregnant). Pretty exciting huh! It has been 8 years since Michael & I started dating, always a special day.


We had another wonderful year & are thankful for so many things. We look forward to what 2010 has in store for us. We are very anxious to see, hold, & raise our 2nd child!!!!!!!!! We are so blessed.

Christmas

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas!! We celebrated with my immediate family the weekend before. We enjoyed a low key day at my parents & Drew got WAY TOO MUCH!! That evening we had our traditional dinner & looking at lights with the Eberharts.

Christmas Eve we went to Grandpa Yoerger's. Drew had a ball & loved playing with all the toys in the basement. It brought back a lot of memories for me, as those were the same toys I played with as a child. Christmas is just as fun now as it was as a child, it's as if we get to re-live the excitement through our kids & it's wonderful!

Christmas morning it was just the 3 of us & it was fantastic. We had a lazy day around the house & all napped. We loaded up the car that afternoon & went to my grandparents. There was lots, of food, too many presents, lots of love & laughter! It was great & a very Merry Christmas it was.
